On the basis of the feedback received from our participants at the Romanian and Italian local citizenthons, it can be said that while the Future Citizens game was well-received for its innovative concept and engaging tasks, participants offered valuable suggestions to make it even better. A recurring theme in the feedback was the need for a more cohesive and dynamic story.
Many participants felt that some of the game tasks could be simplified or reduced in number to maintain a smooth flow and keep players engaged. One suggestion was to break tasks down into smaller, more manageable steps, making it easier for players to progress and feel a sense of achievement. Others proposed incorporating more dynamic challenges, such as internal team competitions, to boost participation and excitement.
Feedback also highlighted the importance of improving the scoring and feedback mechanisms. Players expressed a desire for clearer explanations of point deductions and more immediate, human-like feedback after completing tasks. This, they felt, would enhance their motivation and engagement throughout the game. Moreover, simplifying some tasks or reducing their number could help maintain the pacing and avoid overwhelming participants, making the experience more enjoyable and accessible.
To address these concerns, future iterations of the game could focus on refining the narrative structure, making feedback more interactive and motivational, and tailoring the content to different age groups.
Our developers are already working on the suggested improvements. The Future Citizens game aim is to provide a game that is more than just an educational tool—which could be an immersive, memorable experience that resonates with a wide audience.
Thank you for the provided feedback and we are eager to receive more! Nevertheless to be able to give one, you need to try our game first.
